May 2013: My Mother

On October 23rd, 1975 my mother became a mom. I happened to be there but was apparently quite shy. My mom set the bar pretty high for being an awesome mom. I recently had to tell something my mom taught me and it came pretty quick into my mind. My mom taught me how to be a friend to everyone. It doesn't matter your status in life my mom will be your friend and a defender of the downtrodden. I witnessed this first hand as she loved everyone unconditionally and spent many hours on the phone cheering up people. She also was the life of a party and put smiles on the faces of those she was around. I sure love my mom. Happy Mother's Day!
