April: Martin Family Visit

My dad had spring break off at his school so he and my mom decided to come visit. When they decided to come visit, Fiance Ben and Christina tagged along, and then Chelsea decided to come too. We had many fun events. My mom's birthday happened while they were visiting so we made her a BTS cake!
Of course the kids blew the candles out!

My dad made yummy breakfast omelets for us!

The family came and watched an intense 8 year old soccer match. Andrew was an all-star!

Nana & Grandpa had us over for their famous pot roast and potato dinner!
Ethan dazzled everyone with his tower building skills. Ben then impressed us with his ability to take out the middle section of a tower leaving the rest of it still standing. We all tried to match this amazing talent....and failed.

No trip is complete without a visit to the ranch. Ben and Tina provided some great photo ops...

But Ethan was better:)

Our friend Tom out did them all on Splash's back!

Then Ethan was informed by Grandpa there would be no tractor rides today. And Ethan pouted!

Then gave us the lip...

Then he was a little better when he got held by Grammie.

Bob, Bill and Bud are growing!

Oh so romantic!

And he finally quit crying!

April: Kindergarten Field Trip to the Fire Station

We went to the fire station right near our house for a field trip with the Kindergartners. The kids first listened to important info about smoke alarms and what to do when there is a fire.

Then they got to explore a fire truck.
And they even got to put out a fire!

Ethan loves being an honorary Kindergartner!
Even I got to feel the full force of the hose (which by the way was 100 times more powerful than what the kids felt)!

This is my second kindergarten field trip to the fire station. Half-way done. Only 2 more to go! Does that mean I get an honorary fire woman t-shirt?

April: Fluke Hailstorm

We had a sudden hail storm that dumped dime size pebbles all over our neighborhood. It came and went within 5 minutes. Andrew and his buddy Andrew M were together. They ran out in the storm and had a fun hail ball fight!

April: Easter Morning

Easter morning was anticlimactic. The cousins left early in the morning back to North Carolina. The kids wanted their cousins back. But, the Easter Bunny did arrive along with the fabulous Grammie Toodie gift box complete with very cool shoes!

Candy apparently goes with every meal, including breakfast. But when you're eating Lucky Charms in the morning what difference is it to eat candy?

April: Easter Sunday At the Ranch

Easter Sunday we went out to the ranch to do "ranch chores" with Grandpa. The fields were flourescent green and spectacular.

April: Pear Blossom Reunion

Brian & Kathryn Hall both began running this past year. We had heard word that Kathryn and Stu had melted away their former selves. Kathryn had just completed her first 1/2 marathon. She and Stu decided to come out on their spring break to Oregon to run the Pear Blossom. With their arrival, other family members wanted to come visit too! Liz came along with little Tom from Utah. Steven and Brianne came from Idaho. All of the siblings decided to participate in the Pear Blossom festivities. We also did a lot of other activities...

We were all present for Max Hall-Brown's baptism...

We were able to go and perform baptisms for the dead for our ancestors...

We had a family talent show...

The men went skiing at Mt. Ashland...

We dined out...

We chilled at Nana's and Uncle Brian's houses...

We had cousin slumber parties....

We had fun watching the Pear Blossom Parade...

We went to Science Works and Kid Time...

We enjoyed making and eating Seamus's famous panini's...

We decorated Easter eggs at Aunt Anne's house...

Aunt Anne organized the first of many Hall Family Easter Egg Hunts at the Ranch...

And then, there was the main event...

5k runners...

Seamus in 1st

Then Jill...
Then Brianne right after...

There were the Mayors Cup Mile participants

All the little ones ran it! Aunt Liz with Tom, Bridget, Max, Coleman, Andrew, Elizabeth, Sophie, Joshua & Delia, Nana, Grandpa, and Aunt Jill participated.

Then the biggest event of them all: The 10 MILER

Brian & Steven finished first!

Then our walker Christina along with little Eliza in tow finished!
