July: Utah Vacation Part 5 (Woolley Reunion at Bear Lake)

Our trip to Utah was capped off with a fantastic trip to Bear Lake for the Woolley Reunion. We have been going to Bear Lake since I was a little kid. It is absolutely my favorite place on this earth and I think this holds true for my kids too. Here are the reasons why I love Bear Lake:

1. Seeing my siblings. All of us were there this year which was very special for my parents. We now need 3 full condos to house us all and it is only going to get worse as grand babies start to multiply and replenish the next generation of Martins.

2. Naps: I can have one at any time and there is someone willing to watch the kids. Doesn't my favorite Blog fan look so peaceful napping.

3. Games: Lots of time is spent playing games and even my kids got into the mix this year (or mixed up the pieces as Ethan was famous for).
4. Jet ski rides: Mom and Dad splurge and provide us with 8 hours of fun in the sun with Jet Ski rentals. The waves on Bear Lake are always so choppy that it is always a fun day on the Jet Skis!

5. Chillin' Time: From about 10am till 6pm we spend the day at the beach. We sit, we visit, we eat, then repeat. It gives me time to visit with all my quirky relatives and to enjoy one another without rush.

7. Sand Time: My kids would be furious if I forgot about how important it is for them to play in the sand. They will spend the entire day building fortresses or sitting in the mud with their cousins. They make all sorts of creations and it is always exciting to see what my cousins Mark and Brad make out of the sand.

7. Talent Show: This is the newest tradition, in its second year, started by my sister Michelle. Each family member shows some sort of talent. Lizzy sang "How great thou art," Sophie did a cartwheel, Andrew showed how he could make the Eiffle Tower out of string, and my favorite...

My brother-in-law Andrew playing "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with a flute and his nose!

It was a memorable vacation to Utah. I can't wait till next year!
